Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) Phytoestrogens and Lubricants

HRT may alleviate hot flashes and prevent osteoporosis, but they may also increase the risk of breast, ovarian and uterine cancer, and have a number of significant side effects. Hence HRT isn't the solution either.

You can find relief without taking large amounts of estrogen into your system. Locally applied “bio-identical” (man-made chemical copies) estrogens are considered a much safer option than oral hormone therapy since most of them allow only minimal amounts of “estrogen” (also called: fat generating hormone) to enter into your circulation.

However, how most practitioners will treat it, is a prescription of Vaginal Creams. Those products contain among others estrogens from female horses, which are unnatural to our bodies and often much too strong. Also several bio-identical choices are prescribed. Mostly containing estrogens such as estrone (E1), estradiol (E2), and estriol (E3). Presently pharmaceutical companies produce estradiol-based bioidentical vaginal products.

Attention! Patients must not rely on their own in use of estrogen, because incorrect and prolonged application may lead to endometrial hyperplasia and vaginal bleeding.

Its use is commonly safe and effective, but just as much as painting a brush of fresh color on you rusty car body.
Indeed global studies suggest that acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine are effective treatments for hot flashes, anxiety, insomnia, vaginal dryness and many other symptoms associated with menopause.
